# Marvell AQtion Network Adapter Windows Driver
Oct 12 2026

##v3.1.32.0
_Date 12.10.2026_
Cumulative release: includes all changes since v3.1.11.0. This section lists the changes since v3.1.31.0; for v3.1.12.0 - v3.1.31.0 see v3.1.31.0 below. Built with WDK/SDK 10.0.28000 and Visual Studio 18 (MSVC 14.51) for x64 and ARM64.
* HLK testing passed on Win11 25H2 ARM64 with an AQC113 adapter (result added 16.10.2026). HLK testing on x64 and WHQL submission are not yet completed; the build is test-signed. Hardware validation is in progress.
	- HLK reported all 20 tests as passed on a Snapdragon X system: Device Fundamentals tests under Driver Verifier with network traffic (PnP, reboot, hibernate, disable/enable), driver package checks (signature, static analysis, INF) and OID tests. The static analysis check passed under a Microsoft HLK errata. Four of the PnP tests (stop and rebalance) are skipped by HLK on Modern Standby systems such as this one and are counted as passed
	- Not covered by this run: the LAN (NDISTest) tests of network functions such as offloads, packet filters, multicast and Wake-on-LAN, which the HLK playlist includes only for x64; other adapters, including the AQC107 family; S3 sleep and Modern Standby
* Unlike v3.1.31.0, most changes in this release affect normal operation (receive path, offloads, link state, AQC113 sleep entry), not only NDIS selective suspend.
* Stability fixes
	- Fixed races between receive ring re-initialization (on resume from sleep, on adapter reset and during receive-hang recovery) and the network stack returning receive buffers. These races could leak receive buffers or corrupt the receive ring, and could crash the system when memory ran low
	- Fixed a receive buffer leak: large receive frames (RSC or jumbo) that the network stack still held during a receive ring re-initialization are now freed completely
	- Receive-hang recovery: a recovery that fails now requests a full adapter reset (before, receive could stay stopped). The recovery no longer runs inside the periodic hang check, and it waits for receive processing in progress before it resets the receive path
	- AQC113: entering sleep, hibernate or Modern Standby no longer overwrites four GPIO pin configuration registers, which the driver had treated as Wake-on-LAN filter registers. Wake-on-LAN is armed by the firmware and does not use these registers
	- Fixed a possible stale link state: overlapping link state updates (for example link polling and an adapter reset) are now processed one at a time
	- A failed entry into a low-power state is now reported to Windows with the documented status NDIS_STATUS_NOT_ACCEPTED (no current hardware path is known to fail)
	- When they fail, the packet filter, multicast list, RSS and TCP offload parameter requests now return a status that Microsoft documents for that request instead of an undocumented one (on AQC113 a packet filter change can fail while the firmware is busy)
* Offload fixes
	- Fixed large send offload (LSOv2) settings changed at run time: an IPv6 change was applied to the IPv4 setting (and the IPv6 setting never changed), and disabling all LSO types did not turn LSO off in the hardware
	- Fixed IPv6 TCP/UDP checksum offload being reported to Windows from the IPv4 setting (visible only when the IPv4 and IPv6 settings differ)
	- RSC is now reported as enabled only when it is enabled for both IPv4 and IPv6, because only then does the hardware turn it on
	- Disabling receive checksum offload at run time now takes effect
	- Packets that still request LSO after LSO has been disabled are now dropped
* Power management and Wake-on-LAN
	- Adding a wake pattern or an ARP/NS protocol offload now checks the request size, and a request that fails no longer leaves a partial entry that could be armed at the next sleep. ARP/NS offload requests in the older (revision 1) format are now applied; before, they were ignored
	- NDIS selective suspend (still disabled by default; not supported for production use yet): the hardware is now protected for the whole suspend and resume, a suspend is refused while driver work is still in progress, a link change found on resume is now logged, and the receive re-initialization race listed as a known issue in v3.1.31.0 is fixed
	- NDIS selective suspend: an AQC113 "light resume" prototype (resume without a full chip reset) is included; it is disabled by default and needs its own registry setting
* INF and installer
	- New driver-wide registry value SelectiveSuspendLightResume (default 0; set to 0 by every driver install or update; used only when selective suspend is enabled)
* Diagnostics
	- Software Bill of Materials (SPDX/CycloneDX) and CVE scan (0 known CVEs) included with the build
* Known issues
	- HLK testing on x64 and hardware validation of the changes since v3.1.11.0 are pending (the Win11 25H2 ARM64 HLK run listed above passed). The HLK Rx "NetBuffer corruption" finding at frame offset 0x14 (reported by the LAN tests, which the ARM64 run did not include) is still under investigation; it looks like a test-side expectation mismatch and also occurs with v3.1.11.0
	- AQC113: the receive-hang recovery uses the AQC107 receive settings, which can overwrite AQC113 receive parser and filter settings when it runs
	- In rare cases a receive interrupt that arrives during a receive ring re-initialization can still pass the network stack a buffer that the hardware still owns
	- An adapter reset (requested by the driver or by Windows) can overlap a pause by Windows and leave the adapter sending and receiving while Windows has it paused
	- In rare cases a receive-hang recovery that is already running when the system enters sleep can overlap the adapter's sleep preparation; some receive registers can be left with the recovery's settings until the next resume
	- NDIS selective suspend: the adapter link bounces on resume

##v3.1.31.0
_Date 08.10.2026_
Cumulative release: includes all changes since v3.1.11.0 (v3.1.12.0 - v3.1.31.0). Built with WDK/SDK 10.0.28000 for x64 and ARM64.
* HLK/WHQL testing NOT yet completed for this release; the build is test-signed. Hardware validation is in progress.
* Stability fixes
	- Fixed a Windows crash (bugcheck 0xE6, DRIVER_VERIFIER_DMA_VIOLATION) on ARM64 systems with non-cache-coherent DMA (for example Snapdragon X) while receiving packets. x64 is not affected.
	- Fixed a multi-gigabyte non-paged pool allocation caused by an uninitialized field
	- Fixed possible crash or hang when the adapter is disabled, uninstalled, updated or removed: the driver now waits for all outstanding work before freeing the adapter, stops interrupt processing before freeing receive and transmit rings, and no longer touches hardware after a Thunderbolt/USB4 surprise removal
	- Fixed receive data corruption: receive buffer state was not reset on reuse, and L4 checksum offload is now suppressed on IPv4 fragments
	- Fixed a hang in the pause path (the wait could last about 33 minutes instead of 2 seconds); the driver now logs a warning after 2 seconds and keeps waiting
	- Bounded the firmware host-boot wait on resume from sleep (wake from D3 could fail HLK wake tests)
	- Fixed Wake-on-LAN pattern wake pre-arming too early on entering D3
	- Fixed KeepAlive protocol offload list getting out of sync with NDIS
	- Fixed the D3Cold handling for Modern Standby: the driver no longer arms D3Cold itself, the INF setting is used
	- Fixed sleep delays on AQC113 that were microseconds instead of milliseconds
	- Hardening from a 2026 security review: transmit write barrier, large-send bounds, receive ring locking, OID length and overflow validation, Wake-on-LAN pattern size checks, MMIO and firmware length checks, secure control-device open
	- Removed a false "Atlantic rev.A0 not supported" error that was logged on every AQC113 initialization (no functional effect)
* New and changed features
	- NDIS 6.89: UDP segmentation offload (USO), D3Cold, Wake-on-LAN and power management rework, Modern Standby support
	- ARM64 driver, MSI and MUP packages
	- New speed setting "Auto Negotiation (No 2.5G/5G)" for AQC113 (private MultiGigAdvertise keyword), for switches that fail with multi-gig advertisement (Case #00376841)
	- NDIS selective suspend (S0 idle D3) implemented. Disabled by default; not supported for production use yet
	- Tx/Rx buffer defaults (Rx 4096, Tx 8184) are now also applied when upgrading over an older driver
	- Diagnostic IOCTLs available in retail builds; LSOv2 advertised at full hardware size
	- Targets Windows 11 25H2 / 26H1; built with WDK 10.0.28000
	- Poll Mode, PTP hardware timestamping and encapsulation statistics are included but disabled by default
* INF and installer
	- INF keywords follow HLK naming rules (vendor keywords without the leading *), *SSIdleTimeout added
	- Installer hardening: architecture mismatch check, downgrade block, reboot reporting, OS gating, safer failure handling
	- INF DriverVer is stamped in UTC
* Diagnostics
	- Link change trace (speed, duplex, time since last change, link-flap warning, AQC113 partner capabilities and PHY health when firmware tracing is on)
	- Checked-build transmit/receive frame signature trace
	- Software Bill of Materials (SPDX/CycloneDX) and CVE scan (0 known CVEs) included with the build
* Known issues
	- Hardware and HLK validation of the changes since v3.1.11.0 is pending; the HLK Rx "NetBuffer corruption" finding at frame offset 0x14 is under investigation (the byte matches the IPX EtherType 0x8137, so it looks like a test-side expectation mismatch; it also occurs with v3.1.11.0)
	- NDIS selective suspend: the adapter link bounces on resume; a receive re-initialization race is known and not fixed
